Custom Sewing, Alterations, and Instruction

Reimagining our relationship to our clothing

Most of us can agree "ready to wear" isn't wearable for most bodies — and isn’t sustainable. Investing in the wardrobe we already love, mending beloved family heirlooms, or redefining garments so they transition alongside us can bring more meaning to the clothing we wear everyday — and impact how we move through the world.

Join a Class or Workshop

Register for small group classes to learn fundamental tips and tricks of the trade, or take a deep dive into a single topic at a more advanced level. I also provide one-on-one mentorship to coach you through your own project and level up the skills you need to personalize your own creative journey.

Free Craft Days

I offer space for quarterly crafting meet ups. This is not a class and there’s nothing formal about it - it is simply time and space available to bring your own mending or craft supplies or to sit side-by-side with fellow creatives. These sessions are designed to complement and promote the many other amazing local creative resources and skill shares. Bring your friends and spread the word!

About Hallie

I offer custom sewing and expert alterations to professionals, creatives, and thoughtful human beings. I enjoy collaborating with my clients — crafting each piece to reflect their stories.

I had the distinguished honor of an apprenticeship under Trish Jens of P.A. Jens Custom Sewing. I honed my leather craft and curiosity at Hardmill Leather Goods in Seattle, WA. I found my artistic voice in costume design for dance performances by Au Collective, Imana Gunawan, among other local artists. My initial sewing instruction - and abundant creative encouragement - has always come from my mother and grandmothers.
